Automated SMS reminders that actually get read
Email reminders get ignored. SMS reminders get opened. Waine sends an automated text 2 hours before every appointment — helping reduce no-shows without any manual work from you.

01
Turn on SMS reminders
Enable SMS reminders in your Waine settings — available on Growth plans and above. Every paid plan also gets email reminders at 72 hours and 24 hours before each appointment. Takes 60 seconds to set up.
02
Clients opt in at booking
When a client books, they provide their phone number and consent to receive appointment reminders. Consent is recorded automatically.
03
Reminders go out automatically
Waine sends each reminder at exactly the interval you set — email or SMS. No manual work. Each message includes the appointment time, service, and a link to reschedule or cancel.
Reminders that work while you work
SMS + email, both channels
Some clients prefer text. Some prefer email. Waine sends email reminders at 72h and 24h on every paid plan, plus an SMS 2 hours before on Growth and above — that last-minute text is the one that stops no-shows.
Customizable reminder timing
Use the default 72h/24h/2h schedule or adjust to what works for your business. A busy salon might want a 48h reminder. A mobile groomer might add a same-morning text.
Consent capture at booking
Waine records reminder consent during booking and keeps marketing consent separate. Businesses remain responsible for configuring messages and using them in accordance with applicable law.

Frequently asked questions
What plan do I need for SMS reminders?
Automated SMS reminders (the 2-hour pre-appointment text) are available on the Growth plan ($39 CAD/month) and above. The Starter plan ($19 CAD/month) includes scheduled email reminders at 72h and 24h before each appointment, but not SMS. The Free plan includes booking confirmations only, with no scheduled reminders. You can upgrade at any time from your account settings.
How does Waine record SMS consent?
When a client provides their phone number at booking, Waine captures their consent to receive appointment reminders and records the time and context. Marketing messages (campaigns, win-backs) have separate consent captured under your marketing settings.
What does the reminder SMS actually say?
Waine sends a plain-language message with the client's name, appointment date and time, service name, and your business name. It includes a link to their booking details where they can reschedule or cancel. You can customize the message template from your notification settings.
